PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The PhD in Biblical Studies is a rigorous, narrative-driven exploration of Scripture that equips students to interpret the Bible with theological depth, canonical awareness, and vocational clarity.
Through six advanced seminars, students engage the full sweep of biblical literature—from covenant formation in the Pentateuch to eschatological hope in Revelation—tracing how each corpus contributes to God’s redemptive work and the restoration of creation.
The program emphasizes exegetical precision, theological integration, and contextual engagement, preparing students to teach, lead, and bear witness within both church and academic settings.
Students who pursue this degree are often called to deepen their understanding of Scripture not only for personal formation but to serve as scholars, educators, pastors, or institutional leaders who shape the theological imagination of others.

POSTGRADUATE STUDIES
Postgraduate studies in the School of Biblical, Theological, and Ministerial Studies at Aidan University are designed for scholar-practitioners and theological leaders who seek to make enduring contributions to the church and academy.
Students choose postgraduate study at Aidan to deepen their theological voice, refine their vocational clarity, and produce work that equips them to teach, publish, lead, and shape the spiritual imagination of future generations.
These advanced programs build upon graduate foundations and invite students into rigorous, formative engagement with Scripture, doctrine, and ministry.
Unlike undergraduate and graduate programs, all doctoral seminars are taken one per 15-week term, allowing for sustained immersion, scholarly depth, and vocational integration.
The combination of five doctoral seminars can be completed in eighteen months, with the dissertation seminar estimated to be one full year to complete.
Whether pursuing scholarly research, ecclesial leadership, or theological synthesis, postgraduate students at Aidan are equipped to think biblically, write theologically, and lead formationally in service to God’s mission.
